If you are looking for a Reiki treatment this is a good place to start.

The minimum exchange for a Reiki Treatment will be £40.  All Reiki requires an exchange of energy. Please ask me more about this if you have any questions.

The treatment room is in a private residence utilising a private room with an adjustable massage table in Northern London. In summer there will also be an alternative alfresco space available for treatments. Details of this will be provided upon enquiry.

    Why Would I Get Reiki?

Reiki is a subtle energy that helps bring balance to ones life. It flows only for the highest good and automatically goes to where is needed.

The following are commonly reported benefits of Reiki practice. Although at this time, the evidence for most of these benefits is anecdotal, there are research data showing Reiki treatment can be effective for relaxation, pain management, reduced anxiety, reduced depression, and enhanced well-being:

    • Relaxation
    • Pain management
    • Reduced anxiety
    • Reduced depression
    • Improved sleep
    • Improved digestion
    • Enhanced well-being
    • Stronger self-esteem
    • Support for substance abuse recovery
    • Accelerated surgical recovery
    • Reduced side effects from radiation, chemotherapy and Rx meds
    • Greater self awareness
    • Greater ease and satisfaction in relationship
    • Heightened intuition

And sometimes we all need just an hour to ourself, to relax, be open to the healing and intuitive power of rein, escape the everyday hustle and bustle…basically, take some “me” time.

How is a Reiki treatment given?

In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Reiki will go through clothing, blankets, or even a plaster cast if necessary! Each position is held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position. The whole treatment usually lasts between 45 and 90 minutes with the average treatment about an hour.

What does a Reiki treatment feel like?

People who receive Reiki will experience it differently depending on what their intention of receiving it was. In general people report feelings of deep relaxation. In addition, many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced. Some drift off to sleep or report floating outside their bodies or have visions and other mystical experiences. At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive, balanced outlook. It must be noted that some people may feel emotional at the end of a treatment due to shifting energies. Sometimes a person will have what is called a healing crisis. As a person’s vibration goes up, toxins that have been stored in the body will be released into the blood stream to be filtered by the liver and kidneys and removed from the system. When this happens, sometimes a person can get a headache or stomach ache or feel weak. If this happens, it is a good idea to drink more water, eat lighter meals and get more rest. The body is cleansing as part of the healing process so this is a good sign.

However, all Reiki flows for the highest good so it can do no harm.

Will The Practitioner Offer A Diagnosis?

Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not offer any diagnosis or prognosis. If you are concerned about symptoms you should see your GP.
